Over the last 8 years, he's designed merch, album artwork, tour posters, and even skate decks for several bands, solo artists, and record labels. Although a large majority of his artwork is commissioned by various contacts within the entertainment industry, he's also worked with clothing companies, independent organizations, and small businesses.

Alan Ashcraft: Absolutely. There are several elements to being in an active band that I think are lost on the pedestrian graphic designer. The…

Keith Kahn-Harris

Keith Kahn-Harris: My pleasure! Your site’s great…

Keith Kahn-Harris: My metal history is a little complicated. I first started getting into it when I was about 10, in the early 1980s. However, the few people I knew who also liked metal soon dropped out and I found it difficult to be the only person I knew who was into it. I also found some of the sexism and violence hard to handle (I was a precociously left wing kid) and at that stage I didn’t realize that metal imagery isn’t quite as serious as it appears at first. So I repudiated metal until I was about 15-16 years old. I was getting…

If this the first time you hear my city and country I live you can Google it and see the map, Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia which has a large number of cultures, languages, ancestor traditions, and extremely huge die hard metal fans, I encouraged myself to this kind of heavy Music artwork or I’d like better to say in horror and dark art since late 2007. Killustrations Bjoern Goosses

Killustrations Bjoern Goosses

Born in the small town of Wesel in the year when Elvis Presley died and AC/DC released „For those about to rock", Bjoern Goosses has always been a thoroughbred artist, expressing himself through music, poetry & imagery. After taking the first muscial steps by covering death metal classics in a schoolmate´s moldy basement in the early 90s, Bjoern became a member of Germany's Melodic Death Metal pioneers Night In Gales. With this band he didn't only release 5 albums and toured Europe and Japan, he has always been responsible for the lyrical and visual elements as well. This aspect has…

Uzi Emperado

Uzi Emperado

Uzi Emperado is from Cebu, Philippines and draws things that upsets his mom.

Uzi Emperado: Thank you. I was introduced to the band merch business through a website/community of shirt design enthusiasts. It wasn’t my intention to become a designer exclusively for Heavy Metal bands. I just did my own thing and, somehow, my art just fit the image most heavy music bands are portraying. A match made in Heaven (or Hell), so to speak.

Uzi Emperado: I made some artwork and posted them online. I politely approached bands and record labels and, eventually, I got the attention of a few. It Dies…
