Kaunan

Kaunan

The Nordic-folk trio Kaunan breathe new life into old traditional Scandinavian music, reawakening the ancient realms of pre-Christian folklore by drawing on ancient songs and tunes; odd scales; early folk instruments like the kontrabasharpa, the hurdy-gurdy, various lutes, the lyre, and the bagpipes; and the old Norse myths. After nine years of performing and collecting song material, Kaunan will finally release their debut album entitled "Forn" through the Norwegian label By Norse Music later this fall.

Kaunan is Oliver S. Tyr (Ger.), Boris Koller (Au.) and Göran Hallmarken (Swe). Oliver S.…

Cardinals Folly

Cardinals Folly

Finland´s morbid princes of the riff, doom metal cult Cardinals Folly will unleash their 4th album 'Deranged Pagan Sons' through Polish Nine Records on CD and via Spanish Topillo on LP around September 2017. Dabbling in the world of occultism, weird tales, obscure horror, pagan rites and Luciferian depravity, the band has recorded an album consisting 8 powerful, even wild anthems of heavy doom and metal mastery, that never let their savage NWOBHM-influenced classic doom grip go, despite going on a varied 48-minute fiery ´n´ groovy metal adventure.

Previous album "Holocaust of Ecstasy &…

Darkenhold

Darkenhold

Cervantes: Darkenhöld is a group that draws its sources in the black metal of the 90's mainly, without forgetting the reference to the founding groups of the genre like Bathory, Celtic Frost, etc... for my part I discovered black metal in 1995, before beginning to listen seriously in 1996. I feel I have had the chance to follow the explosion of the genre in the 90's and to forge my ear in parallel with the emergence of all the bands that still constitute my cd reference library. For me, we never knew anything better in black metal than in the 90's. But I started listening to metal and hard…

Cursed Earth

Cursed Earth

Before Cursed Earth I played guitar for a bunch of Perth bands that never really went anywhere called Mindless, Protest and Iconoclast. Our new record 'Cycles of Grief' came together slowly, early last year when we were most of the way through putting together the demos for the cycles of grief we lost our drummer. We come from a small town and finding a drummer who shreds and is ready to record and tour can be very hard. We ended up flying back and forth to the east coast to finish the record with our friends Chas Levi from Justice for the Damned on drums and Elliott Gallart of Chameleon…

Carach Angren

Carach Angren

Our upcoming album called ‘Dance And Laugh Amongst The Rotten’ is another horror concept album similar to all work we have been releasing so far. On this album, we tell the tale about a girl using an ouija board and through that inviting spirits telling their tales. By the end of the album, after all the tales have been told we learn what happened to the girl and an epic clue is revealed. I won’t go into the details about that because I’d like the listener to find out for themselves. I also made sure the listener is somehow part of the story, a detail that really excites me.

We are a horror…
