Lonewolf

Lonewolf

Our musical backgrounds are the whole German scene of the 80's. We are very influenced musically by bands like running wild and Stormwitch, while our vocals are more influenced by Tyrant or Grave Digger. Also bands like Bathory or Dissection have a strong part in our music. Of course, you don't hear them as clearly as Grave Digger for example as we digest them in a more German heavy metal way but they are very present in Lonewolf.

We had some tribulations before composing the new album, 'cause we had a line-up change. Michael Hellström is our new lead guitarist. With him, a true Lonewolf…

Bliss of Flesh

Bliss of Flesh

Bliss of Flesh is a black death metal band created in 1999 in Calais (France) by Sikkardinal (guitars) and Fleshstigma (Drums). J.Poizon (bass), Insane (guitars) and Terrorizt (ex-MERRIMACK) joined the band in 2000. After several gigs with bands as Enthroned, Vade, Shining, Secrets of the Moon, Antaeus, and several underground releases, Terrorizt left and Necurat (ex-Latrodectus) came to spread his imprecations in 2008. Insane (guitars) also quit for health reasons and the band decided to use live session guitarists until Pandemic (guitars) definitely joined the band in 2010. With this final…

Nervecell

Nervecell

In comparison to our previous albums, I’d say we’ve experimented a little more this time around both in the way we approached writing these new songs and with the finer details like adding ambiences and atmospheres into the music. We’ve added a bit more room for creating a sense of mood into the music on this new album and I think it worked out pretty well. We flew out to France to record the drums with our friend Kevin (ex Benighted) who lives there, unlike our past albums this time we pretty much got involved with exactly how we wanted to drums to be performed. We knew exactly what we…

The Loom of Time

The Loom of Time

The Loom of Time is a novel blend of black metal, death metal and doom – music that constantly forges forward, but keeps its roots in the unassailable heritage of rock and heavy metal. In a world of passionless, formulaic music, Loom gives us a glimpse of what metal might have been had the genre progressed without leaving behind the grit, fire, depth and creativity that today’s trend-chasers never seemed to grasp.

All that we do is in service of the music or the performance thereof, which means if something political or religious (or more likely, philosophical) inspires us, it may appear in…

Fvneral Fvkk

Fvneral Fvkk

Everyone in the band has lots of years of experience in other bands. Even though "Lecherous Liturgies" is the very first release of Fvneral Fvkk, we sure are no noobs to the game. Each of us has released several albums before, and we have toured a lot. We were (and still are) active in bands of Death-Doom Metal, Thrash Metal, Black Metal and even melancholic rock. But we are Doomsters with heart and soul, and I think you can hear that in our holy gospel.

We went through times of self-flagellation and hunger protest, and of course, severe crucifix-masturbation to come up with this…

The Pod

The Pod

I usually just tell people it’s ‘blackened industrial’ because I really have no idea how to describe it. But the word ‘industrial’ has such a specific connotation I never feel like that sits quite right either, even though Pigface’s ‘Gub’ is easily a touchstone for The Pod. It’s really just the sound of a man emptying all of his thoughts onto the ground, stomping on them, kicking them and picking them back up and creating stories with them.

And honestly, that’s how the writing process goes as well. I usually start playing or messing around with an instrument with the record button on before…

Throne of Heresy

Throne of Heresy

The Swedish blackened death metal act Throne of Heresy was formed in Ostrogothia in 2009. With their roots firmly in the underground, the band quickly built a following – especially with their lauded second album, Antioch. On November 3rd, the band releases their ambitious new concept album 'Decameron' through The Sign Records. The album depicts the horrors of the Black Death in the 14th century. Much like the book, it takes its name from, Decameron revolves around 10 stories, beginning with the first known victims of the plague in Asia and moving through the known world, ending on the…

I have been always interested in orchestra and powerful music, density and stridency. That is something I've been trying with every song for the last 12 years, inspired by At The Gates, Graveworm, Ihsahn. I started being a drummer and I wrote most of the…
