Rabid Hood is a melodic hard rock band from Vestland/Norway. The band has extensive experience in the metal and rock n’ roll stage with members from Helheim, ex-Taake, Trelldom, Nattverd, Aventyr and Spitfire++. Spiteful is produced by Beau Hill Music Production (Alice Cooper, Europe, Ratt, etc.).
We wanted to start a new melodic hard rock band and started recording some demo songs a few years ago, but it stopped there. The songs remained untouched until the summer of 2021, and then we brushed the dust off and decided to develop Rabid Hood further. We were so lucky to bring in professional musicians, and the result, I would say, is very good; it is some of the best we have produced, that’s pretty sure.
The guitarist Aven writes the songs on guitar, Olsen makes lyrics and melody to it and then comes the bassist and lead guitar. It’s about whatever comes first in our minds, works very well, and has much to do with what lies in the subconscious.
It is all-natural and spontaneous when we write music. The ideas come to mind naturally and develop accordingly. We were all born in the 70s, so we like what we grew up with, like Motorhead, AC / DC, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc., and we always wanted to be like them. So I think it has probably affected us as a band more than we think, and I think what lies in your subconscious has a lot to say; it goes without saying.
