Feelings should emit creativity
I have been into digital/graphic arts since sophomore year in high school. I eventually ended up loving sitting in front of a computer all day and just creating. I have also done 5 years of graphic design college, yet never got my degree. I decided that I wanted to try on my own. I have done 5 years of freelancing and overall making art for anyone and everyone. My main background for design started with metal, but then I got deep into the EDM scene and started gaining way more recognition for my artwork than I ever thought. Eventually I went back to my metal roots and I hit up bands that I loved and made artwork for them. Since then, it’s been an interesting ride.
My first ever band I did metal art for was ‘Dissever The Tyrant’ way back in 2009 I believe? I eventually just began making more and more contacts which led me to meet some very awesome people who shared my work. Over the past 8 years I am still refining my design process, which I feel gives me the ability to explore my skill set and widen my creative process. My “technique” will forever be changing.
Feelings should emit creativity, while creativity should emit those feelings. Basically, spill your mind. I’ve always been somewhat of a negative person, so I feel that the abnormal/dark imagery is what best portrays my emotions. I’ve always been interested in occult/satanic type views mainly because it’s a world that has been shielded from everyone, yet these views make more sense than anything we know today about “religion” etc… I have a saying for AJS Graphics and I use the term “GODLESS” to represent my views.
I am the creator/owner of AJS Graphics. I also do many collaborations with Steven McCorry Design (vocalist from Exotype, check him out!) as well as a business partner in many things with my good friend over at Trend Cities Designs and LGND Clothing Co. Other than that, I like to fly solo.
