Gorgatron’s sound is based on a ‘love of the riff’ approach to writing and is rooted in the old-school stylings of death metal and thrash for fans of Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Necrophagist, Hate Eternal, Crowbar, Sepultura, Megadeth, Origin, Municipal Waste, Skinless, Goatwhore, Nile, etc. Our music is a sonic punch in the face. I think that works or at least live. We spend time with each song we write. Focusing on quality over quantity.
Our music is a collection of 5 dudes who don’t waste your time, life’s short. Also, life is what you make it, and the world is your home. We started with what was available and accessible as we were kids/teenagers and kept digging deeper to find heavier and better music.
Ever since the first time I heard Van Halen and Eddie shreds, I knew music would be the biggest part of my life. His love for guitar and songwriting inspired me to be the player I am today, and I enjoy that Gorgatron has that same effect on our fans and people that hear us live for the first time. I feel like our music makes people want to headbang, or even go and pick a guitar simply to RIFF!
