Through Wilderness by By Colin Tarvin
‘Through Wilderness’ is about horror, depression, real-life tragedies, belief in things beyond the outer limits of comprehension, obscurity. Every theme in this album has a direct connection, very personal. Things that are dark and vague that sound cool to us. It really took the four of us working towards the same goal. The contributions of Greg Wilkinson and Scotty Heath, all the guest appearances.
Not sure what would be next big thing in metal, but whatever it may be I hope it’s not death metal, always loved the fact that this type of music is underground, aka appreciated by few. It gives more room for bands to be themselves. I like the fact that within obscurity comes identity and goes to show what you believe.
A few words on belief, I would say the energy of thoughts, thinking along the lines of an acid or shroom experience. Positive and/or negative thoughts contribute to the next series of moments, and you can put yourself there, but a real feat and skill is pulling yourself away from when you feel down or more importantly when you’re depressed. Think of how easily that works the other way around. This answer can seriously be one that is day to day, the best thing you can ever do is read, listen, learn, be open to new experiences. Put yourself in the realm of uncomfortable.
