Introducing Industriv
I am very pleased to announce a new magazine created in collaboration with my longtime friend Vadim Gordon.
Vadim is the creator of Industriv, an extraordinary and incredibly detailed archive dedicated to industrial, noise and avant-garde music. It is a project built with remarkable depth, covering the artists, labels, recordings, scenes, manifestos, equipment and visual culture that have shaped industrial music from its earliest foundations.
We are now bringing our experience and ideas together to develop Industriv, a new independent magazine.
The magazine will feature in-depth interviews with the legacy bands and key figures who helped make industrial music what it is, while also providing a serious platform for new artists and emerging talent. We will speak with musicians, labels, designers, photographers, producers, promoters and the people working behind the scenes to keep the culture moving.
This will not be industrial music treated as a fashionable label or a loose catch-all. Industriv will be rooted in the history, ideas, experimentation and uncompromising creativity of the scene, while remaining open to everything genuinely challenging and important that is happening now.
The first issue is currently in development, with much more to be announced.
Industrial culture—from its foundations to what comes next.
