Horror Archetypes, Alejandro Colucci
Horror Archetypes, Alejandro Colucci
Horror Archetypes are recurring character types or themes found throughout the genre. They are deeply ingrained in our collective consciousness, evolving over centuries of storytelling, and serve as foundational elements in horror literature. Illustrator Alejandro Colucci's work on Horror Archetypes is a fascinating exploration of how his distinct style and evocative imagery bring these classic character types to life, infusing them with depth, emotion, and a palpable sense of dread. Enter a world of vampires, zombies, demons, mutants, monsters, ghosts, and more from one of the genre's most prolific and demanded illustrators.
"Colucci's powerful illustrations are the finest."
Anne Rice, author of Interview with the Vampire
"Alejandro Colucci is a master of expression and detail, his vision of my characters look ready to step off the page."
Robin Hobb, author of The Realm of the Elderlings series
"I quite often define "beautiful" as "saleable" and my publisher tends to prefer covers that speak "art" loudly. In the case of Colucci's cover for "The Last Wish" we were remarkably unanimous."
Andrzej Sapkowski, author of The Witcher
