Through interviews conducted over three years, we’ve brought together perspectives from legendary acts like Opeth, Kataklysm, Amorphis, and Sonata Arctica, as well as genre-shaping groups such as Finntroll, Powerwolf, and Moonspell, each with their own take on why artistic freedom is the lifeblood of heavy metal and other uncompromising forms of art.
